Messing about making A.T.C's...,

old cereal box card and old book pages, them together and you have,,,,.

great start for backgrounds for ATC's.

Now for some distress ink in vintage photo

And a real vintage photo, photocopied,

And cut up!

Rubber stamp images of bottles and letters

colour the bottle with a little blue ink

Add some twine an ribbon...,

And some dots, sweet

Another card

old box covered with glue

And fabric

Add stuff

And gesso

Add  more stuff

gesso again

Vintage Cuffs

Hello Munchkins. I have been playing with some fabric this week, making Vintage Cuffs!... Check it out!!!

Gather together some fabric, trims, lace and ribbon.

My background has wonderful text on it.

Add lace and ribbon. The lace I use is generally cut from old tray mats which I have then tea stained

Or shop bought lace....., again tea stained.

Stitch on a machine or by hand. If that is beyond you, Hot Glue it!

Add Stufffffffff!

Think of different colour ways.

Add buttons and elastic to form closure.

Having just the best time in the studio

Hello sweetie pies. I hope this finds you happy and healthy. I have been very busy in the ARTefact Studio with all sorts of activities,

I love D.I.Y shops. And Wickes the other day were giving away free paint tester pots. So I grabbed five for the journal!

Here we have a mix of Silicon sealant and corn flower! Why not?

Mix, mix, mix! Very messy process, but well worth it

But what is it? I hear you cry..., molding putty!!!!! To get a lump of putty this size from shop bought, two part molding compounds would cost about £15.00, this about £1.50!

Lets put it to the test.

Roll it out,

Embed interesting pieces.

Push them in well,

Leave four 24 hours.

Spray mold with release fluid.

Mix up some plaster,

Pour in and wait, 2 hours.

Looking good

I shall be playing with this some more!!!

 Now I wish to make a doll, It maybe a little unusual...., lets find out.

Scrunching up plastic bags and covering in Paper mache, to create a body and a head.

Cut some wood for a base, Off cut of fence post.

and some dowels for legs, sides from my babies play pen.

Drill hole in base for the legs.

Glue in place.

She will have some shoes soon.

Truly I haven't forgotten you!

It' just I have been a little preoccupied lately, and I had to put a portfolio of my work together. More on that later.

So what have I been doing? Well lots of groups,

Now the reason I have been so distracted is that I have applied to go and do a degree! EEEKKK! Yes me! So I had an interview and for that I had to create a portfolio of work. This I did, and........., I got a offer!!!!!! To say I am excited doesn't really cut it!  Therefore on September the first 2015, I start my BA (Hons) in Contemporary 3D Crafts! I will share the journey. x
